Rainbow Baby Application.
To apply for my free rainbow baby newborn session, please fill out the info below. I will contact you if you are the chosen recipient!
One newborn session will be gifted per month to eligible families. These sessions will take place within 2-3 weeks of the birth at my studio located in West Des Moines. Please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, the earlier the better! Please also allow a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your due date to be considered. I also accept nominations/applications from friends and family members.
What is a Rainbow Baby?
A Rainbow Baby is a baby who is welcomed into a family after they have experienced a loss due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death.
It is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravage of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean that the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds.
The 'Rainbow Baby' package includes:
*1-2 hour newborn session at my studio
*Will include rainbow theme set-ups and regular set-ups.
*8-10 fully edited digital images
*1-11x14 print of your choice
*Half off any milestone session (optional)
Additional prints, canvases, wall art and digital images can be purchased for 10% off regular price. This is not mandatory and there will be no hard sell!
My intention behind offering this session for free is so that families who may not otherwise be able to afford to have photos taken have the opportunity to do so. With that being said, if chosen for this session, you are prohibited from booking a paid newborn session with another photographer. While I won’t know if this gift has been taken advantage of, I trust the recipient will do the right thing by following this simple rule or forfeiting all together so that another deserving family can be given this amazing opportunity.
